Qingdao to host 10th China International Copyright Expo

An expo that aims to encourage innovations and strengthen cooperation in the field of copyright will be held in Qingdao, Shandong province, from Oct 16 to 18, China's top copyright regulator announced on Friday.

The 10th China International Copyright Expo will be jointly organized by the National Copyright Administration, the administration's branch in Shandong and the Qingdao government.

With the theme "digital intelligence leading the future, copyright innovation and development", this year's exhibition will be on a bigger scale, and integrate Qingdao's cultural resources and industries, said the city's government.

The expo will strengthen copyright cooperation, promote cultural exports and showcase the fruitful results of copyright empowering high-quality economic and social development, the government added.

The expo, which has been held every two years since its establishment in 2008, is the only comprehensive, international and national-level professional copyright expo in the copyright sector in China.

The expo has become an important platform for showcasing copyright achievements, energizing copyright trade, promoting the transformation of copyright value, and facilitating exchanges between Chinese and foreign copyrights, the statement added.

The 9th China International Copyright Expo was held in Chengdu, Sichuan province, in 2023.
